Troop 194 operates under the rules and policies of the Boy Scouts of America, and strives to follow the Scout Oath and Law in all we do.
Scout Oath: “On my honor, I will do my best, to do my duty, to God and my country, and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.”
Scout Law: “A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.”
Safety: Ensuring each of our Scouts’ physical, emotional, and personal safety is our first priority. Our adult leaders are required to complete Boy Scouts of America’s Youth Protection Training program. We require “two-deep leadership” at all outings, and strictly prohibit one-on-one adult-child meetings, and vigorously enforce rules against hazing and bullying, including cyber-bullying. Troop 194 adult and youth leaders work hard to foster an inclusive troop culture where teamwork, learning, positive mentorship, and fun is the norm.
